Upscale Restaurants in New York City?

I’m looking to have a fine dining experience in New York City. Any suggestions, I’m looking for American cuisine. However, I would also appreciate Italian and French. I enjoy a tapas style menu also.

    3. Les halles- french
    4. woo lae oak – (my fave) korean bbq
