If money were no object and you lived in New York City, where in Manhattan would you live?

I’m trying to get opinions on the absolute best neighborhood to choose. I am looking for the best in terms of proximity to subway, nearby interesting sites and dining, bars and clubs, etc.
This is vague, but give it a shot if you will.

1st Anniversary coming up. Would like to find a fine dining restaurant in North NJ.?

I DO NOT want to go into New York. But a nice of of NYC would be lovely.

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes — Would you dine with them?

They were both spotted with Jerry Seinfeld and wife in New York City last night! I would’ve loved to be there!
