The Great White Way, as it was known in many years past, is home to a few of the best NYC nightlife on the face of the earth.
There are thirty-nine professional theatres that you are going to find actually on Broadway or near Broadway in NY town. Tickets are listed at exclusive prices ; if you and a mate decide to go out for an easy dinner and a show, expect to pay in the $500 range and masses more for box seats and more elaborate dining fare.
You may make a selection from David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow or American Buffalo, Peter Shaffer’s Equus, Tracy Letts’ comedy August : Osage County, and Anton Chekhov’s immortal classic The Seagull, among several currently in production.

Shows such as Shrek, The 39 Steps, evil, Young Frankenstein, Billy Elliot the Musical, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, White xmas, Mary Poppins and others.

a giant part of the Theatre District’s NYC nightlife are the spectacular older theatres. There’s a vibe in these old houses of times past, when people flocked to the theatres to see the most recent plays, and that aura continues today. People get dressed to the 9s to attend the theatre, and there is a spirit of camraderie and bon vivant as the fans settles in together as a group to take part in the experiences the show offers. Some of the theatres, for example the Winter Garden, are vintage houses. After cats closed its nineteen-year run there, the inside of the house was revived to what it looked like in the 1920s. This is one of the hotspots on Broadway and around the town where you can be in the thick of NYC nightlife, now let’s look at the BARS

The entire city block is just one large open air extravaganza right out of South Beach. ( at Ninth Ave. ), this place was once the headquarters for the nation’s Maritime Union. Now, it’s a glamorous Chelsea Hotel that draws a fashionable nightlife scene. Among its hot spots are Matsuri – sushi restaurant , a Japanese-themed nightclub called Hiro and La Bottega – a bar/trattoria which extends outside into a 6,000 square foot terrace. Ah, and how can we forget to say the party cabanas on the terrace?!

Pacha – Talk about a high energy import that lets you explore the vibe of Ibiza without stepping foot outside NYC ( found at 618 W. 46th St. – between 11th Ave. And West Side Hwy ). This international club transports club-goers from NYC to the steamy tropics, featuring four floors ( and 30,000 square feet ) of options. Navigate a maze of staircases, palm trees, mirrors and tarp covers. You’ll find drop down projection screens, staging runways, and intimate retreats ( take a look at the Jacuzzi-style booths ).
Their juicer will freshen up your cocktails and their glowing’Saturday Night Fever’ dance floor will liven up your evening. A fashionable little hole-in-the-wall that features great drinks and a straightforward, relaxed crowd. Passerby is found at 436 W. 15th St. ).

White horse tavern – A super-popular West village institution, White horse tavern is quiet, literary, and features lots of wood – a previous haunt of Dylan Thomas. Good for a few relaxed cheap booze hour pints with old mates and associates.

bungalow eight – With so many luxuries offered at this honeymoon-suite locale, who has anytime for sleep? If you’re looking for great drinks and fascinating nibbles, this mini-resort provides it. Perfect for night-owls who have trouble turning in. Bungalow eight is found at 515 W. 27th St. ( between tenth & 11th Aves. ).

When you think of wine in the United States, the first thing that comes to mind are the vast vineyards in California. Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley and Paso Robles are just some of the places where grapes are grown and wines are made.

New York, however, has its own share of locally-grown grapevines which are fermented into exquisite-tasting wine.

The state is rich with history and has a very wide variety of wines to offer. From as early as the 1960’s, places such as Long Island, Finger Lakes, Albany, Hudson River and Lake Erie have been part of the grape-growing and wine-making industry within the region.

“Wine Country”

Wine country refers to the chain of independent wine makers spread all over the state. New York has a very rich soil ideal for growing grapes.

You can also find many “wine trails” composed of neighboring wineries and vineyards whose owners work together to promote their fine products.

If you want a tour of the facilities and would like to experience how grapes are gathered, fermented and bottled, there are individual wineries which offer a tour and might even give you a sip of a real New York vintage wine.

In New York City, month-long celebrations are held to remind vintners about the bounty of their own land. The same theme is celebrated in Albany during the month of November. These parties showcase vintage wine and fine dining to show the best that New York has to offer.

Because of the vastness of New York, each place would have a big difference in terms of climate, thus affecting the type or variety of grapes grown for each region.

The colder regions include Finger Lakes, Lake Erie, Long Island and Hudson River.

Of these four, Hudson River and the Finger Lake region have the most number of vineyards and bottle a greater number of wine types.

The wine countries in New York produce red and white table wine. Table wines, whether white or red – are those which are not considered as sparkling wine, with minimal alcoholic content.

New York also bottles sparkling wine, grape juice and dessert wine. There are over 32,000 acres of land where grapes are grown, and the state boasts an enormous 175,000 tons of grape production.

The most-produced variety of wine in the state are a combination of French Americans and locally-grown variants.

If you are a wine lover, go ahead and add a bottle of vintage New York wine to your collection and you can’t go wrong.
