In regards to place to eat in New York City. There are thousands of restaurants in the Five Boroughs of New York City. Depending on your taste, your budget and your preferred location, may I recommend the link below.
http://www.menupages.com/ — MenuPages.com is the one of the best website on the online. It included menus with prices, as well as restaurant reviews.
I hope this information is very helpful.
Good luck and Bon appetit!
Well, when travelling to ANY big city, New York included, it’s always a good idea to check out that city’s magazine, in this case New York Magazine, for dining ideas.
So, the link below is to the Restaurant section of NY Magazine, where I’m sure you’ll find LOTS of great ideas, and, while you’re on their website, be sure to check out all the other great sections, too!
Good luck!
For restaurants, I always recommend Taverna Kycliades in Astoria, Queens for Greek food. Best I’ve ever had! Plus they throw in free dessert. It’s so, so good. (That’s why the place is never empty.)
If you want some really good Cuban food, swing by Son Cubanos in the meat packing district. They have live music on Friday nights and the desserts are insanely good.
Also, you might want to try Brazil Brazil on 46th Street. My friends took me there for my birthday recently, and the food was amazing, the decor was beautiful, and they had a live guitar trio playing for a while. I loved it.
For bars, I love Disiac. (I think it’s on 54th between 9th and 10th.) It’s a tiny little place, but they have great drinks, usually have good wine specials, and you can get chocolate or cheese fondue plates too. Also, really good hummus and pita bread.
If you want something that’s more of a hangout, you might want to visit the Fat Black Pussycat down near West 4th Street. They have all kinds of games you can play there while you drink. Or visit No Idea. They have a name of the day (which you can actually check on their website). If you show up there when it’s your name day, you drink for free! (Provided you tip the bartenders and show up with friends.)
