Cagney's Steakhouse will cost you $25 per person, wine and other alcohol and tip not included. For some main courses there is a $10 surcharge per person.

Mam's Italian Kitchen is $15 or $20 per person, again no alcohol or tip is included. Certain surcharges may apply.

The other alternative restaurants range from $10 to $20 per person, alcohol ans tip not included. Certain surcharges may apply.

Personally, I'm satisified with the food and service in Tsar's Palace, one of the two main dining rooms, and it isn't because the alternative restaurants are at extra charge. I've been to Cagney's and one of the 2 Asian restaurants. The main dining room is just as good,in my opinion.

A jacket is not requires, but jeans and shorts are not permitted in any dining venue, except for the Garden Café, in the evening.

Can't say for sure, but I did the Norwegian Star a few years back and I think the "alternative" dining rooms were $25 or so. We'd met a bunch of people that we hung around with and had dinner with in both the regular and extra dining rooms. I loved the "freestyle" dining.

Jacket wasn't required, but I certainly wouldn't try going in shorts and t-shirt. I'd make a reservation at least by the day of when you want to dine. The sooner the better.

Have a great trip!
