Twenty years ago I was friends with Jimmy Wells, my best chum, and the finest chap in the world. He and I were raised in New York, just like two brothers, together. When I was eighteen and Jimmy was twenty, we parted. I went to the West to make my fortune. You couldn’t have dragged Jimmy out of New York; he thought it was the only place on earth. Well, we agreed that night that we would meet at ‘Big Joe’ Brady’s restaurant, were we dined on our last night together, again, exactly twenty years from that date and time, no matter what our conditions might be or from what distance we might have to come. We corresponded at first, but then, you know, West is so hectic, so I stopped writing. But I kept my part of the bargain, and came. There is no restaurant here anymore, it’s a hardware store. We agreed to meet at ten, and it’s later than this, and no Jimmy. A police officer checked on me, he thought perhaps that I wanted to rob the place or something. I explained to him why I was here, and he went away. I had come a thousand miles to fill an appointment, uncertain almost to absurdity, with the friend of my youth, I just smoke my cigar and wait. But he does not turn up. What should I do?

MYTH
By: Naomi Beagan.

Chapter 1; Jordan

“Taxi!” Shouted the disgruntled 19 year old, On a busy New York City street. Hundreds of cars zoomed by the young man, before a yellow cab stopped in front of him. Gratefully he jumped in and told the driver, “7th Ave and W 46th ST, please.” The young man took a piece of paper out of his briefcase. Jordan, the young man, fixed his hair. He impatiently asked “Do you mind going a bit faster? I am going to be late!”. The driver grumbled to himself and sped up the car. The driver raced faster and faster. A light turned red, but still the car didn’t stop. Screaming in sheer terror, Jordan could not wrench his eyes from what would surely be his end.

Chapter 2: Nicole and Hunter
On a beautiful autumn morning in Boston, Nicole dashed about the kitchen dining room after her family. She took her infant sister and set her on the table trying to keep an eye on the rest of the kids. Among her siblings was her twin brother, Hunter. Scanning the house for her brother she saw he was playing cards with some more of her brothers. Nicole walked over to her brother. “Hey Hunter.” Nicole said “Sissy I am bored. Can we go somewhere?” Hunter asked. “You just want to drive my car.” Nicole sighed, rolling her eyes. “No.” he replied. “Fine we’ll walk then.” Nicole smirked. “Fine.” Hunter agreed. They went outside and began walking downtown, taking the back way through the forest. You could hear the jingling of change in their pants, then two loud screams, and they were gone….

Chapter 3; Andrea.
“Charge it.” Andrea said to the cashier and he put her new shoes in the checkout bag. She handed him her credit card and he scanned it. Andrea smiled and took her belongings, then headed to the next store. She tossed her hair back and opened the door to a clothing store and her smile got wider as she noticed the new shipments of the latest fall fashions. Andrea grabbed the cutest outfit to try on and headed towards the dressing rooms. But suddenly, She dropped her things, tried to scream, but it was too late. The beast already had her.

Chapter 4; Kore
Kore rolled out of bed, not wanting to get up. The sun was shining through the window. “WAKE UP!” Her mother shouted. “Don’t want to!” Kore half mumbled, half shouted. You could tell Kore was still in deep sleep. “You have to!” Her mom replied. “Why?” She complained. “Just get up.” Her mom said annoyed. “Fine.” Kore told her. She got dressed and headed downstairs while trying to put her dark brown hair in a ponytail. “Morning.” Her mom greeted Kore. She grunted. Kore’s father kept drinking coffee and reading his newspaper. Her Mom started to make breakfast. “Darling, you mind getting my flowers from the basement?” Her mother asked her. “Sure.” She said kindly. She stumbled down to the basement. She looked around the misty dark basement. A little frighten she grabbed the flowers and started to run, but something grabbed her, she let out a scream, then she was gone.

Chapter 6: White Table.
Jordan mad yelled, “Where am I!?” Jordan noticed four other people all around him sitting at a white table. Suddenly people appeared on right sides of each person. The leader, a man was at the head of the table. Kore who was confused and a bit frightened, bravely asked “ Where are we and who are you guys?” The man at the head of the table replied, “You in a hidden part inside Mount Olympus, and to answer you first question, I am Zeus.” Hunter was in disbelief. Then out of now where, was an “Ug. What am I wearing?” Andrea asked. The woman on the right side of her had a hurt face. “You don’t like it? I made the dresses myself.” “No, no, the dress is fine but these shoes do not match.” Andrea replied. Hunter laughed. Nicole looked up at the people who had appeared out of nowhere. “So who exactly are all you guys?” She asked. “We are gods, gosh, haven’t any of you ever read Greek mythology?” One of them said. “Um… no!” Andrea shot back. “Well I am Aphrodite.” Aphrodite said. “I’m Andrea.” Andrea said, having no intentions to tell the strange woman her name. “And I am Artemis” The woman on the right of Nicole said.Artimis, the girl on the right of her was more of a child though, and Nicole could feel it. “I am Nicole.” Nicole suddenly blurted out. She felt like she was being tricked, into saying her name. “I am out of here.” Kore said frightened. She was shock how she even got here in the first place and when she tried to get out of her chair she couldn’t and was stuck, thanks to some force. “Hello. I am Persephone.” The woman on the right side of her said, “What’s your name.” Automatically without thinking she said her name, Kore. “Now for you Hunter.” A man said, “I’m Apollo.” Hunter looked to the right of him. “How did you know my name?” He asked Apollo a bit confused. Then Hunter pointed to the man next to Jordan. “Do you know his name?” He pointed to Jordan to Jordan this time. The man gave an evil grin. “His name is Jordan, a
The man gave an evil grin. “His name is Jordan, and I am Hades…” Then in a blink of an eye they all appeared on mount Olympus.

Chapter 8: Mount Olympus
A wind that chilled you down to your bones swept through the children’s summer clothes, making shivers’ tingle down their spines. “It’s cold!” Andrea complained, “Why didn’t you tell me we were going to a freaking cold mountain I could have brought my $280 dollar pink wind breaker jacket!” “Oh quit your whining!” Zeus said as he snapped his fingers, making matching gray parkas appear in each of the child’ hands. “Oh thank you Zeus!” Nicole said, astonished at the quick appearance. “Now, here’s what you have to do.” Zeus started with his directions, “Each of you will be left alone on this mountain, however I will give you the powers that your specific God has, so each of you will be unique. Your goal is to find the missing silver orb, that I “misplaced” on this mountain.”. “Pfff!!We are not doing that!” yelled Andrea,
“You obviously didn’t misplace it, I mean I’m not stupid, I saw your fingers go up when you said misplaced! Why the heck are you using us anyway? Go mess with people your own size!” “As I have told you, we are bored you little brat.” Zeus explained. “Look, Andrea! Just shut your mouth okay. I like quests.” Hunter said. “Oh fine! But I still don’t understand Zeus, why are you making us do this when you already know where it is!?” Andrea complained once more. “Haha!” Zeus chuckled, “We are Gods! What are we supposed to do for fun instead of watching over the world every single day? Now off you go, good luck and beware, for there are giant snow wolverines!” Zeus chuckles to himself once more. He gave one more snap of his fingers and the children were left all alone on a huge mountain in the middle of now where, with powers they didn’t know existed…

Chapter 9

So yeah I need ideas for chapter nine, like how to get it rolling, learning thier powers ect.
sorry bout that. It should be
Chapter 5: White Table.
Chapter 6: Mount Olympus
Chapter 7: NEED IDEAS FOR.
Yeah They are not really chapter chapters, they are chapters for a short story.
So any ideas to get the story rolling?

The man was dining in a very swank restaurant in New York City. When the elderly waiter brought the consomme the customer saw that his thumb was deep in the soup bowl.
Next, the waiter served steak diane, and now his thumb was deep in the gravy. The customer held his tongue. This was after all one of New York’s finest restaurants.
Finally, for dessert the waiter brought out coupe marrow. This time his finger was not in the ice cream. The customer could contain himself no longer. “Sir,” he said to the waiter, would you tell me why you put your finger in the consomme and the steak gravy but not in the coupe marrow?
The waiter stared coldly at him for a moment and then replied, Simple, my good man. I have a bad case of arthritis and warm things relieve the pain in my thumb.
The customer became very angry. “You son-of-a-b*tch!” he said, “Putting your thumb in my food! You should take that thumb and ram it up your a*s!”
The waiter looked at him and said, That’s what I do in the kitchen

I’m moving from Florida to NYC in a little over a week to work an entry-level marketing job in Manhattan, which doesn’t pay that much to start. I currently work at the Ruth’s Chris here, and was hoping to be able to transfer to the one there as a second job to get by in New York, but they are currently full up, even though they liked me and would like to hire me. They told me to keep checking in every couple of weeks, but I don’t have the time to wait around. What are some top notch restaurants in Manhattan I should start looking at? I’ve got years of fine dining experience and a college degree that should help. Any other good steakhouses besides Ruth’s Chris?
No. Not marketing for restaurants. But I need a good restaurant job as a secondary at night for supplemental income until I get to makin good money with the marketing job

After catching my boyfriend cheating on me I packed up my things and jump into my convertible and headed home.
In my rear-view mirror I could see New York City getting smaller and smaller. It is going to be a long drive home. But it will give me plenty of time to think.
I was a well known chef at a prestigious New York City hotel. My dream was to have my own catering company where I grew up. When I caught Marshall screwing his secretary I jumped at the chance to go back home and start my business.
I even enlisted my mothers help and to have her work with me. She was retired and my dad passed away a few years back. My mom was ecstatic to hear I was coming home for good.
Bethany Hills is a very small town. It is only 2.5 square miles. There is one fine dining restaurant, one pizza shop, and one gas station. There is also lake called Lake Key, there is a gazebo at one corner of it. It is really a picturesque place. Many families come and spend an afternoon feeding the ducks.
My best friend Summer will be so happy to see me. I decided I would surprise her. It has been about a year since we last saw each other, at her brothers wedding. We practically grew up together.
I really appreciate your input, and I am glad you didnt bash me

In July of 2008, I plan to host a reunion for all of my friends from school. They saw me through the darkest years of my life, and I want to throw one last party in their honor. I’d like to have it somewhere really nice, perhaps with fine dining. I’ve promised them all an evening to remember. It’s going to be held in upstate New York, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I might have the reunion.
